What Is Going On In North Dakota’s Bakken Fields?

  • “More Oil Than The Middle East Put Together.” – Forbes

  • “It Is The Highest Producing Onshore Oil Field Found In  The Last 56 Years.” – The Pittsburgh Post Gazette
  • “Currently, The North Dakota Bakken Fields Are Producing 423,550 Barrels a Day From 5,756 Oil Wells Which Is Up 40,000 Barrels a Day Since June of 2011″ – Oil Patch Hotline

A Technological Breakthrough Called Hydraulic Fracking Has Made It Possible To Access Bakken Oil And Gas Reserves Which Were Previously Inaccessible Through Conventional Drilling.

The By-Product Contaminated Water From Hydraulic Fracking Is Exempt From EPA Interference Due To The Bush/Cheney Energy Bill Of 2005, Which Is Commonly Referred To As The Halliburton Loophole.

North Dakota’s state workforce directly employed in the oil industry has risen from 4,500 in 2005 to about 35,000 today.
Officials in the state expect oil drilling and services industry employment to continue to rise at a rapid rate. And this dramatic increase in workforce demand has resulted in a severe service and housing shortage.
Oil companies are searching for infrastructure solutions, short-term housing and service alternatives to accommodate this growing demand.
